via Zoom
with Sifu Thomas Apfel

8 weeks from Juli 13, 2023, Thursdays at 18:30 (6:30 pm) CET
Practicing Tai Chi regularly, you'll gain
the robust health of a lumberjack,
the suppleness of a child, and
the peace of mind of a sage.

Chinese saying
Tai Chi is Harmony in Motion

Tai Chi has a long tradition and fascinates in particular with its calm and powerful movements, which are performed in a balanced and even manner.

The resulting free flow of energy leads to a profound relaxation of body and mind.

By now, the healing qualities of Tai Chi have been well researched medically and are documented in many cases.
Recent studies show that Tai Chi can help to
improve both lower- and upper-body muscle strength,
build better balance,
reduce stress,
strengthen your heart,
lower blood pressure,
improve flexibility,
slow the onset of dementia,
help relieve the pain of rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia
and so much more.

Tai Chi - Moving Harmony
Tai Chi in the Tradition of Master Lam

Master Lam is a renowned Tai Chi master who has refined the classical forms of Tai Chi into his own style, based on a lifetime of experience in Tai Chi, Zhan Zhuang, Da Cheng Chuan and other Chinese martial arts.

The Small Circle form he developed is highly effective and requires a minimum of space and time.

The Middle Form adds carefully selected elements of the Original Lam Style Tai Chi Form to the Small Circle Form.

Unlike other Tai Chi forms, the Small Circle Form and the extended Middle Form can be learned in a compact program, each lasting about two months.

The depth and effectiveness of the classical long forms, which typically take several years to learn, are well preserved.

Another distinctive feature of Tai Chi in the tradition of Master Lam is its close connection to Zhan Zhuang, "Standing like a Tree", and Shi Li, "Power Testing".

Through these Chi Kung exercises, Tai Chi attains a unique fullness, inner power and strength.

Tai Chi Advanced Course
The Middle Form
(Extension of the Small Circle Form)

TThis course is not suitable for beginners. Knowledge of the basics of the Small Circle Form is required.

During the 8 weeks of the course, we'll meet every Thursday at 18:30 (6:30 pm) CET.

In these classes, we'll deepen and expand the fundamentals of Tai Chi in the tradition of Master Lam.

In particular, we will focus on the expansion of the Small Circle Form into the Middle Form.

You will learn selected elements of the Original Lam Style Tai Chi Form and how to harmoniously incorporate them into the Small Circle Form.

Chi Kung elements that are necessary to develop the full potential of Tai Chi will also be part of the course.

Aspects of the philosophical background, application of individual movements in the martial arts, and references to Chinese medicine complete the program.

As an accompanying book I recommend the classic by Master Lam "Step by Step Tai Chi".
In addition to practicing in the class, the course includes an individual coaching session with Sifu Thomas Apfel.

Please note that the exercises can be physically demanding and challenging. Participation in the Tai Chi course is at your own risk.

The course will be held in English with translation into German. Each lesson will take about 60 minutes.
